Route Information

Cycle the Lakes will not be held in 2017.  We are hopeful of having it again in 2018.  In the meantime, we invite you to come to Cottage Grove and enjoy the great cycling opportunities we have locally.  Our web site will be active until June 20, 2017.  Until then, you are welcome to download maps and cue sheets of our five established routes.  You can also download GPS versions of each route that can be installed on Garmin bike computers.

Each route begins and ends at Bohemia Park (at 10th & Madison) in Cottage Grove, Oregon.  All five route options include the Row River Trail and major portions of the Covered Bridges Scenic Bikeway.

bikes9667, 77 and 102 mile riders can start between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  32 and 42 mile riders can start between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Detailed route maps and cue sheets will be available for riders at the Start line.

The routes accommodate riders of all skill levels.  The 32 mile route can be done by inexperienced riders, as long as they stop occasionally.

All the routes are on paved or asphalt surfaces with two minor exceptions for the 67, 77 & 102 mile routes.  The 32 and 42 mile routes have a paved or asphalt surface for the entire length.  The exceptions for the 67, 77 & 102 routes are two short sections of an asphalt road that have gravel on hard dirt for about 50 yards and 20 yards.  Typically in September, the gravel is thinly spread on those sections. We go out the morning of the ride and sweep the gravel out of the way so it won’t present any problems for riders.
